Year 10 Summer School - Girls into Maths

Girls into Maths is a free, two day programme on Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 July at Imperial Maths School in North Finchley. Day one will be a series of fun Maths workshops. On day two, we will visit Imperial College London and the Science Museum for exciting explorations of Maths!

This course is aimed at year 10 girls with a passion for Maths, aiming for a 7 or above in their GCSEs. Preference will be given to applicants who are from groups currently underrepresented in the Mathematical Sciences. However, all year 10 girls are welcome to apply.

Mathematical Olympiad for Girls Masterclasses

In the second half of the summer term 2025 launched a series of masterclasses aimed at preparing students to sit the Mathematical Competition for Girls (MCG). The MCG will be five questions, 90 mins, and similar to Maths Olympiad for Girls/Olympiad in style, adapted so the answers are 3 digits, similar to the Senior Kangaroo. We will help prepare students for this competition!

Maths Extra for Year 10s

We are excited to be launching Maths Extra for Year 10s! This will be running after school in-person on Tuesdays, starting in the Summer term. Maths Extra is designed for students who have a passion and talent for maths, who want to expand their knowledge beyond the GCSE curriculum. This course is aimed at current year 10s with a passion for maths, aiming for a 7 or above in their exams. Preference will be given to applicants who are from groups underrepresented in the mathematical sciences. However, all students are welcome to apply. Students who take part in Maths Extra for Year 9s will be able to continue the course through into the 2026-27 academic year in Year 11.
