Super Curriculum
Thanks to our partnership with
Imperial College London
and links with leading organisations in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) industries, Imperial Maths School offers a wide selection of opportunities to expand students' horizons and allows them to experience and explore mathematics and sciences and their applications in the world beyond the A Level curriculum.
We call this our 'super curriculum'. Students are also able develop transferable skills, such as presentation, research and teamworking, through project-based work. There will be multiple opportunities to create connections with professionals working in universities and industry.
Guest Lectures from Imperial Academics
Our students can hear from academics from Imperial College London in-class or during their visits to Imperial about where Maths and the Mathematical Sciences can take them.
Problem-Solving Classes
Students participate in classes with support from Imperial students that are challenging and help them to prepare for university entrance examinations.
Research Projects
Students have the opportunity to work with a mentor on a group research project in year 12, and students who do three A-levels have the opportunity to do an individual research project in year 13. This could be in, for example, engineering, economics, artificial intelligence, pure mathematics, and many other areas.
Masterclasses
Students participate in Masterclasses that extend beyond the traditional curriculum, supported by Imperial, in diverse areas such as: coding, engineering, astrophysics, logic and set theory, and philosophy of mathematics.
